class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p>The entire\u00a0<strong>Vega<\/strong>\u00a0concept was born from the desire to redefine the quality of hotel services on the Romanian coast and at the same time offer its guests a unique experience. After extensive renovation and modernization of the hotel structure, which had been built in the early 1970s, Vega was reopened in the summer of 2008 and awarded 5 stars.<\/p><p>The same year, the Vega Hotel beach obtained the\u00a0<strong>Blue Flag<\/strong>\u00a0certification, the only beach in Romania with this distinction since 2007. Blue Flag is a prestigious certificate ensuring international recognition of the quality of the beach and represents an important guarantee for tourists that the beach they visit is among the best in the world. Blue Flag is also an ecological label for the sustainable beaches of the world, obtained year after year with strict criteria on water quality, beach quality, environmental management, public safety and information.<\/p><p>With sustained efforts and matching investments, in the summer of 2009, Vega Hotel became the first Romanian hotel to receive\u00a0<strong>Eco-Hotel Management System<\/strong>\u00a0certification from Tuv-Rheinland Romania. Implementation of the environmental management system includes: the appointment of an Eco-Manager, management of the consumption resulting from the hotel\u2019s activity, employee training and awareness and, not least, promotion of the Eco-Hotel Management System policy to the hotel guests.<\/p><p>The Eco-Hotel principles govern all processes within Vega Hotel by means of:<\/p><ul><li>controlling energy consumption: in March 2013 the Vega Hotel became the first hotel in Romania to use renewable energy (energy derived exclusively from renewable sources \u2013 wind, hydro and solar energy, significantly helping to reduce CO2 emissions). The company supplying us with this type of energy is <a title=\"UGM Energy\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ugmenergy.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UGM Energy<\/a>.<\/li><li>controlling the water and paper consumption and controlling the waste management and hazardous substances<\/li><li>purchasing and using biodegradable products<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>Besides the minimal impact on the environment, the Eco-Hotel system guarantees that guests\u2019 and employees\u2019 health is protected to the maximum. In this sense, we are committed to providing the necessary organizational structure and resources.<\/p><p>Following recognition of these merits, Vega was very soon counted among the elite hotels in Romania.
